Improved gross motor skills in children

I need to work to improve the motor skills of children? Ever your children as they are clearing and dump the food on the floor - or seen playing with his brothers and thought, "Oh, no, my son is clumsy like me," Do not panic - there are many ways you can work with their children to improve motor skills.

We all have children who do not like when some of his colleagues and co-ordinated asthought they were clumsy or awkward. Many of these children actually have a condition such as a disorder of coordination of the development known. The good news is that you are working with their children and help them improve their motor skills.

gross motor skills are the ability to control the large muscles of the body while walking, running, sitting, crawling, and other activities.

motor skills are:


Balance - the ability to maintain balance
Body Awareness- For better visibility and control
cross the midline
Laterality - awareness of left and right side of the body
Great co-muscle coordination
spatial orientation - awareness of body position in space and in relation to other objects or people

Without reasonable motor skills, children often have difficulty with motor skills necessary for formal school work.

There are many activities you can do with preschool children, if we are to improvemotor skills of children:


Play with a big ball. Encourage your child to kick the ball with one foot and then the other. Then throw and catch. You can make something out of the air of a beach ball for children who really have problems to start learning.
Encourage your child to ride a bicycle, push bike or riding a bicycle with training wheels or without, depending on the capabilities of the child.
Play "Simon Says" with your child.

Tell him that he is your shadow and mimic all their actions, how to walk and perform simple actions.

Giving toys to ride - scooters and motorcycles to skateboard.
