Montessori Kindergarten Math - why it works so well

After 15 years as a math teacher and father of five children, I really saw something new (for me) in mathematics education for the past year that really impressed me.

My (then four years), the son attends a Montessori pre-school class and learned math concepts in a way that I never used the class, nor any of my three older children have learned.

The Montessori approach to mathematics
Math Montessori concept of education is the business continuityabstract more concrete lessons, according to the jargon of "work" Montessori in reality they are just manipulated.

This well-designed, highly specialized items for every "work of mathematics," the abstract ideas more accessible to a child.

Each new work takes the student through a lesson in one-on-one with the teacher.

This command allows the teacher to wait until every student is ready for the next level of abstraction firstinserted.

Step by step progress
Some children) in the nursery my son's class (of different ages were still learning to count in 20:00, while other learning place value and addition and subtraction. But young children, while the method works only understood that it is necessary, counting and one-on to improve the one-to-value and addition and subtraction of the works was the place.

This is to remember a very important concept for children. Can you "ignore" the teaching of mathematics curriculum at the Montessori School (and should not say "jump" in any mathematics curriculum, in my humble.) Son of my colleagues understand that the mastery of each lesson is half in order for a competition in mathematics. This is a wonderful approach for pre-school education in mathematics!

Math is fun!
From the perspective of my son, "works" is used to learn math were almost like toys. He came to play with them inthe teacher showed him and then left the domain of a mathematical concept. In fact, this works very well in mathematics education textbooks to teach a math concept very focused.

There are works by transmitting key skills such as math, measuring, counting, order number, the formation of numbers, 1-1 relations, addition and subtraction, and mathematical concepts. Each time a new math teacher "work" of children who were willingThe following mathematical concept has been very enthusiastic and full of energy to learn a new math skills. They observe and help each other complete tasks and learn from their peers in this way. This is a great opportunity, working groups have the math!

Montessori works as a toy
Some of these mathematical manipulations are wonderful toys and the kitchen "table of classes for parents to do at home, when her children are introduced to mathematical concepts. I am very pleased with the progress my son's help in math contentPreschool Teacher Education Montessori mathematics course that was a great talent, but I think many kids would benefit the use of textbooks in mathematics at a Montessori, too.

This experience has long been the first day of classes for children. But experts say there are many things that children need to hear the bell, before the first ring. Preschool not only prepares children for kindergarten can help the foundation of life takes time. While these important social skills and practices, such as standing in a line, the exchange>toys and following instructions, it also provides much more in the way of learning how to learn.

Graduating for these lil tots is a big deal. It's the official end of the 'baby' years as these little ones start their journey of becoming more independent by starting grade school. Because it's such a big deal, all our family and friends should know about the ceremony.

Photo cards a personal touch and also parents with a pleasant memory of the great day.

Another way to customize the ads is on a photo to have confetti. This type of confetti simply by the provision of child pictures on large pieces of strong paper and mixing it with regular confetti. L 'regular confetti can also be shaped balloons, stars, or any other form of entertainment. This will be a bit 'more fun.

For those invited to attend the ceremony, the invitations should be sent. These can include photos of the child again, or you can image on the front of the class this year. Make sure your child's name, school and date of the event are clearly described.

A kindergarten party after the ceremony is a wonderful way to celebrateGraduated even more and give the child the feeling that people realize what a great day for them! Many people bring or send gifts. Not only because the child has completed, but also because adults love the children to bathe with gifts. Thank you cards are sent. This is a greatContact for the child to write these yourself, even if it is only the signature of his name.

Degree only once so it is important to mark the day with special cards. Everyone is aware that the child begins to grow and the baby a reason to shine!

Increasing evidence suggesting that many early in life affects the mental development of children. Children need encouragement as possible to try new tasks. You also need to learn and do. Only in this way may come to their environment and how they personally know to be affected.

Many adults are intimidated by computers and new technologies. Those of us who have learned to use computers and other high-tech devicesknow their value and possibly appreciate. Children are no different. The experience is always the best teacher. The more experience first hand the child is more comfortable, safer and more confident you become.

In fact, it is never too early to start working on your child's self-image and confidence. Young children, feels a sense of security and protection, although only a week. So if you say, "Let's hurry and clean the house and tomorrow we go to the circus," the real pressure are your keys. Yesterday means nothing. Tomorrow is a vague promise. However, it can be very excited about the upcoming events, but because he can not understand the meaning of time, you may ask, "'again tomorrow?" Features

The five years, is confident and is generally reliable. He learned to do what was expected of him at home. Usually, you can reason with him, and he will understand why you want to do something a certain way. The age of five years may still have some problems with the muscles of his small, but you can usually print your name and some words of some others. Heis much more reliable and independent, as it may be four, and was less prone to drift away in the trash. He loves the stories, learn best through repetition and loves group projects. He has five years, usually friendly, sympathetic, loving and helpful, but if you did not get their way, can be difficult.
