Preschool Wacky Walk and Obstacle Course

Perhaps on a Wednesday:

Suggest that the children not wearing shoes and match their clothes back
Lunch for breakfast, maybe peanut butter and jelly and watermelon
Have breakfast for lunch of sausages and waffles with fruit and milk
Read Wacky Wednesday by Theo LeSeig (Dr. Seuss)
For a snack, maybe a glass of milk with a gummy worm on a sandwich (I know, gummy worms are not nutritious, such as the use of whole-grain bread?:)
Take a walk wacky

Start out walkingbackward a short distance
Then try to walk sideways
Walk unsteadily
Stomp
Tip Toe
To do a piece of the walk home very slowly walk
Speed and go there fast
Last, run the rest of the way home!
Preschool Obstacle Course

Groups of preschool children enjoy the fun of an obstacle course. Be creative with what you have available if their institution. Equipment might include:

Sturdy picnic table to climb over or under
Barrels or boxes with open ends Crawlas if through a tunnel
A 2x4, used as a balance beam to walk through
Hoola hoops to step through
To climb on a climbing frame
Tie a rope about 12 "-18" above the ground between two farm or other objects supported crawl for the children under their stomach or floating-style on the back, without the rope
A step ladder down to the ground in each square step
A slide to slide down
On a hot day, add a wading pool, slide, or run in a sprinkler system. (An adultmust always be attentive, if a pool is used by water.)
