Teaching Preschool - Patience, expectations, and Fun

"Not While I'm wearing the hat"

Pre-primary education is never a walk in the park A moment when we tried to calm a crying child, while the other two breaks that are trying to overcome black pipe cleaner for his art project. For this reason, early childhood education requires an endless source of patience with the authority to hear the children of the balance.

A good way to avoid interruption, when the pre -- Use an eye-catcher for children to remember not to speak, like a hat. Unless children are bleeding, you can not talk while the teacher is with the hat, ask a question.

This helps to show restraint and patience and the courage to teach, to listen to others. The hat could also match the theme of the month, as Santa Claus around the holidays and a baseball cap in the spring.

Great Expectations ... but not too large

When teaching> Pre-school, remember to develop certain expectations of every child to the concept of development, contrary to where they should be. Some children can wait five minutes something, while others are still waiting for a minute before attention is diverted. Similarly, some children, like a light nap, while others can not sleep, especially at the beginning of the school year.

If possible, a child who meets or exceedstheir expectations, always make sure to reward them with positive reinforcement, which is the key to conduct the orientation and prevention of negative behaviors. Positive reinforcement and not just be friendly, so good.

For example, your child may be rewarded for being allowed to sit on the desk of the teacher for the rest of the class. Or they might have the opportunity to take a favorite toy or game home class for the night. This teaches the child a senseTo share the responsibility in memory the next day.

Another great reward for good behavior could be that the child can decide which story you read in history, or that all art is to be done after lunch. If allowed to grow for the entire decision, is the child's sense of responsibility of the group was.

Finally, a great reward for positive behavior to call the parents of the child, preferably before the child, just to let you know, itwhat a great man he has. This is the child feel special, because the teacher is taking time out of your day just to offer a compliment to the person who most of the children is more difficult than trying to impress, too.

The golden rule: Have fun!

Speaking of delivery of the finished product, be sure not to forget the support of other staff and volunteers of the parents. A little thanks now and again a long way. And at the end of the day, most ofIt 'important to remember, when pre-planning is to have fun. If children feel that teachers are having fun, involve them in this sense of humor, too.
